Nicolet Plastics 3rd Annual Walk / Run for Life, co-sponsored by the Lakewood Area Chamber of Commerce. A 4.37 mile walk / run around the beautiful Maiden Lake. This year there will also be 2 kids fun runs, food & refreshments, music, exhibits, silent auction with items from many local businesses and more. Donations for our local emergency services collected through our event total just under $10,000. We hope to match that amount this year with your support. Join us on June 18th, 2005 as we walk or run around our 4.37 mile course along the edges of beautiful Maiden Lake in the Heart of the Nicolet National Forest, Mountain, WI. We are situated about 80 miles northwest of Green Bay or 40 miles east of Antigo and west of Marinette. Make weekend plans to stay overnight throught the Chamber website: www.lakewoodareachamber.com

Fun Run for Kids
The Walk / Run is offering two fun runs for school - aged children. There will be a 1-mile fun run for children age 12 and under, followed by a 1/3 mile kid's run for ages 6 and under (with parents). Paper Certificates for participating in the race event will be given out as they cross the finish line! Our objective is to encourage and promote physical fitness in our local school districts and communities as well as offer a family friendly Saturday outing. With the help of Joan White, a well-known local artist, we will be selling the first in a collection of signed Walk/Run prints. Joan has offered to kick off our effort by creating her version of our beautiful Maiden Lake course.
